Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor - 3.5L GTDI, 3.5L Ti-VCT: Removal

Vehicles equipped with a 3.5L GTDI engine

1.

Remove the Turbocharger - LH. Refer to FUEL CHARGING AND CONTROLS - TURBOCHARGER - 3.5L GTDI .

Vehicles equipped with a 3.5L Ti-VCT engine

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, REFER to Jacking and Lifting , Lifting Points.

All vehicles

Remove the nut, the bolt and the heat shield.

4.

Remove the rubber grommet cover.

5.

Remove the bolt and the CKP sensor from the engine block.

6.

Disconnect the CKP sensor electrical connector and remove the CKP sensor.
