Crankshaft Pulley: Removal

  1. 1.

    With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. REFER to Jacking and Lifting .

  1. 2.

    Remove the RH splash shield. REFER to Front End Body Panels .

  1. 3.

    Remove the 3 twist lock retainers and the underbody air duct.

  1. 4.

    Remove the accessory drive belt. REFER to Accessory Drive .

  1. 5.

    Remove the crankshaft pulley bolt and washer.
    • Discard the bolt.

    NOTE: Use a three leg puller (such as Matco Tools ® MST9740D, or equivalent).

  1. 6.
    Using a three leg puller, remove the crankshaft pulley.
