Removal And Installation

  1. 1.

    Drain the cooling system. REFER to Engine Cooling .

  1. 2.

    Remove the 3 twist lock retainers and the underbody air duct.

    NOTE: Failure to position the wood block and floor jack as illustrated can result in damage to the oil pan.

  1. 3.
    Position a floor jack with a block of wood under the front of the oil pan.

  1. 4.

    Remove the engine coolant degas bottle. REFER to Engine Cooling .

  1. 5.

    Disconnect the upper radiator hose from the intake manifold.

  1. 6.

    Remove the A/C tube bracket bolts from the upper and lower RH shock tower.

    1. 1.

      To install, tighten to 15 Nm (133 lb-in).

    1. 2.

      To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).

  1. 7.

    Remove the 4 nuts, 3 bolts and the engine mount.
    • To install, tighten the bolts to 90 Nm (66 lb-ft).
    • To install, tighten the nuts to 63 Nm (46 lb-ft).

  1. 8.

    To install, reverse the removal procedure.

  1. 9.

    Fill and bleed the cooling system. REFER to Engine Cooling .
