Clutch and Clutch Field Coil - 3.5L Ti-VCT: Removal
- 1.
With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. REFER to Jacking and Lifting
- 2.
Rotate the accessory drive belt tensioner clockwise and position the accessory drive belt off the Air Conditioning(A/C) compressor pulley.
- 6.
Remove the A/C clutch disc and hub bolt.- Using the universal clutch holding tool, hold the A/C clutch disc and hub.
- Remove the A/C clutch disc and hub bolt.
- Tighten to 18 Nm (159 lb-in).
- 7.NOTE: A/C compressor shown in illustration removed for clarity.
Remove the A/C compressor pulley snap ring.
- 8.NOTE: Do not use air tools. Damage to the Air Conditioning (A/C) clutch pulley or A/C compressor may result.NOTE: A/C compressor shown in illustration removed for clarity.
Remove the A/C compressor pulley.
- Install the Compressor Pulley Remover.
- Using the Compressor Pulley Remover, remove the A/C compressor pulley.
- 9.NOTE: A/C compressor shown in illustration removed for clarity.
Remove the A/C clutch field coil.
- Remove the A/C clutch field coil snap ring.
- Remove the A/C clutch field coil electrical connector bracket screw.
- Tighten to 4 Nm (35 lb-in).
