Seat Position Sensor: Removal
NOTE:
The air bag warning indicator illuminates when the correct Restraints Control Module fuse is removed and the ignition is on.
NOTE:
The SRS must be fully operational and free of faults before releasing the vehicle to the customer.
- 1.
WARNING:
Turn the ignition OFF and wait one minute to deplete the backup power supply. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury or death in the event of an accidental deployment.
Turn the ignition off and wait at least one minute.
- 2.
Position the seat to the middle of it's horizontal travel.
- 3.
Remove the seat position sensor in the following sequence.
- 1.
Disconnect the seat position sensor electrical connector.
- 2.
Pull the locking tab down to disengage.
- 3.
Slide the seat position sensor back to disengage and remove it from the seat track bracket.
