Safety Belt Buckle and Inflator - 2nd Row, 60 Percent Seat: Removal
NOTE:
The SRS must be fully operational and free of faults before releasing the vehicle to the customer.
- 1.
Depower the SRS. Refer to REFER to Supplemental Restraint System
.
- 2.
Position the seat to the easy entry position.
- 3.
From under the seat, detach the cushion cover retainers to access the under side of the seat.
- 4.
Remove 5 screws and the riser RH inner and outer covers.
- 5.
Disconnect the safety belt buckle switch electrical connector and detach the retainers.
- 6.
Remove the safety belt inflator bolt, slide the inflator bracket back and separate it from the cushion frame.
- 7.
Lift the locking wedge and disconnect the safety belt inflator electrical connector.

- 8.
Remove the 2 safety belt buckle bracket bolts and the safety belt buckle and inflator assembly.
NOTE:
This step is only necessary when installing a new safety belt buckle without a new safety belt inflator.
- 9.
Remove the safety belt buckle bolt and slide the safety belt buckle assembly off the inflator tube.
