PINPOINT TEST F : The Heated Seats Are Inoperative
- F1 CHECK FOR VOLTAGE TO THE REAR HEATED SEAT MODULE
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect: Heated Seat Module C3304B .
- Ignition ON.
Are the voltages greater than 11 volts?
Yes GO to F2. No VERIFY Battery Junction Box (BJB) fuse 41 (30A) and BCM fuse 34 (10A) are OK. If OK, REPAIR the circuit(s). If not OK, REFER to the OEM ELECTRICAL WIRING DIAGRAM INTRODUCTION to identify possible causes of the circuit short. - F2 CHECK THE HEATED SEAT MODULE GROUND CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
- Ignition OFF.
- Measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C3304B-5 Ground
Is the resistance less than 3 ohms?
Yes GO to F3. No REPAIR the circuit. - F3 CHECK THE REAR HEATED SEAT SWITCH OUTPUT
- Disconnect: Heated Seat Module C3304A .
- While pressing and releasing the LH rear heated seat switch, measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C3304A-2 Ground
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms when the heated seat switch is pressed and greater than 10, 000 ohms when the heated seat switch is released?
Yes GO to F5. No GO to F4. - F4 CHECK THE REAR HEATED SEAT SWITCH GROUND CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
- Disconnect: Auxiliary Climate Control Assembly C3198A .
- Measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C3198A-10 Ground
Is the resistance less than 3 ohms?
