Liftgate Latch - Power: Removal

WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure in this service information, refer to SAFETY WARNINGS

  1. 1.

    Remove the liftgate trim panel. REFER to Interior Trim and Ornamentation .

  1. 2.

    Disconnect the liftgate latch electrical connector.

  1. 3.

    Remove the 2 liftgate door handle moulding bolts.

  1. 4.

    Disconnect the liftgate release switch.

  1. 5.

    Depress the 2 tabs and remove the liftgate door handle moulding.

  1. 6.

    Remove the 4 liftgate latch bolts and the liftgate latch.
    • To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
