PINPOINT TEST P : The LH -RH Turn Signal, High Beam or Fog Lamp Indicator Is Never or Always On: Notes

Diagnostic Overview 

Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) , LH -RH Turn Signal Indicator, Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) , High Beam Indicator or Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) , Fog Lamp Indicator.

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

If the turn indicator command, headlamp high beam indicator request or fog lamp indicator request message is missing for less than 5 seconds, the IPC defaults the turn signals, high beam or fog lamp indicator to its last state (on or off) based upon the last known good message received. If the turn indicator command, headlamp high beam indicator request or fog lamp indicator request message is missing for 5 seconds or longer, the IPC sets DTC U0140:00 in continuous memory and defaults the turn signals, high beam or fog lamp indicator off.
