Pinpoint Test BB : U0253:00
- BB1 VERIFY THE CUSTOMER CONCERN
- Ignition ON.
- Check the clock display.
Does the clock display operate?
Yes The system is operating normally at this time. The DTC may have been set due to the APIM still booting, high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition. No GO to BB2. - BB2 CHECK THE COMMUNICATION NETWORK
- Ignition ON.
- Using a scan tool, perform a network test.
- Carry out the network test.
Does the APIM pass the network test?
Yes GO to BB3. No REFER to Module Communications Network . - BB3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE APIM SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the APIM self-test.
Is DTC U3003:16 or DTC U3003:17 recorded?
Yes Refer to the appropriate article for the procedure. No GO to BB4. - BB4 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE IPC SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
Is DTC U3003:16 or DTC U3003:17 recorded?
Yes For DTC U3003:16, GO to Pinpoint Test BD . For DTC U3003:17, GO to Pinpoint Test BE . No GO to BB5. - BB5 RECHECK THE IPC DTCs
- Clear the DTCs.
- Wait 6 minutes.
- Repeat the IPC self-test.
Is DTC U0253:00 still present?
Yes GO to BB6. No The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition. - BB6 CHECK FOR DTC U0253:00 SET IN OTHER MODULES
- Clear all DTCs.
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON.
- Wait 6 minutes.
- Using the scan tool, perform self-test.
- Retrieve the continuous memory DTCs from all modules.
Is DTC U0253:00 set in the ACM ?
Yes Refer to APIM Hardware Testing No Refer to IPC Hardware Testing .
