Pinpoint Test BC : U0424:82
- BC1 VERIFY THE CUSTOMER CONCERN
- Ignition ON.
- Verify there is an observable symptom present.
Is an observable symptom present?
Yes GO to BC2. No The system is operating normally at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition. - BC2 CHECK THE COMMUNICATION NETWORK
- Ignition ON.
- Using a scan tool, perform a network test.
- Carry out the network test.
Does the HVAC module pass the network test?
Yes GO to BC3. No REFER to Module Communications Network . - BC3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE HVAC MODULE SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the HVAC module self-test
Is DTC U3003:16 or DTC U3003:17 recorded?
Yes For DATC, REFER to Climate Control DATC . For EMTC, REFER to Climate Control EMTC . No GO to BC4. - BC4 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE IPC SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
Is DTC U3003:16 or DTC U3003:17 recorded?
Yes For DTC U3003:16, GO to Pinpoint Test BD . For DTC U3003:17, GO to Pinpoint Test BE . No GO to BC5. - BC5 RECHECK THE IPC DTCs
- Clear the DTCs.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Repeat the IPC self-test.
Is DTC U0424:82 still present?
Yes INSTALL a new HVAC module. REFER to Climate Control DATC (Dual Automatic Temperature Control (DATC)) or REFER to Climate Control EMTC (Electronic Manual Temperature Control (EMTC)). CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the IPC self-test. If DTC U0424:82 is still present, Refer to IPC Hardware Testing .
TEST the system for normal operation.No The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
