PINPOINT TEST DM : The Lane Keeping Aid Warning Chime Is Inoperative
- DM1 CHECK THE HEADLAMPS ON WARNING CHIME OPERATION
- Ignition OFF.
- Place the headlamps switch in the parking or headlamp on position.
- Open the LH front door and observe the headlamps on warning chime operation.
Does the headlamps on warning chime operate?
Yes GO to DM2. No Refer to IPC Hardware Testing . - DM2 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE IPC SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
Are any DTCs recorded?
Yes For DTC U023A:00, GO to Pinpoint Test DK . For all other DTCs, REFER to DTC Chart: IPC . No GO to DM3. - DM3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE Image Processing Module - A (IPM-A) SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the Image Processing Module - A (IPM-A) self-test.
Are any DTCs recorded?
Yes REFER to Rear View Mirrors . No GO to DM4. - DM4 CHECK THE LANE DEPARTURE SYSTEM OPERATION
- Verify the lane departure system operate correctly.
Does the lane departure system operate correctly?
Yes The system is operating correctly at this time. Inform the customer that this chime only operates with the hands off the steering wheel. No REFER to Lane Departure Warning .
