PINPOINT TEST A : The Mirrors Are Inoperative - Non-Memory: Notes

Diagnostic Overview

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

The accessory delay relay is located inside the BCM and supplies voltage to the master window control switch when the BCM energizes the relay by grounding the relay coil. The exterior mirror control switch is integral to the master window control switch and receives power whenever the master window control switch is powered by the accessory delay relay. REFER to Glass, Frames and Mechanisms , Delayed Accessory Power. The exterior mirror control switch has only one ground circuit. The exterior mirrors share a common circuit for both up/down and right/left movement.

Visual Inspection and Diagnostic Pre-checks 

• Inspect BCM fuse 48 (30A) (base mirrors).
• Inspect BCM fuse 32 (15A) (heated mirrors).
• Inspect the exterior mirror control switch
