Window Glass - Rear: Removal
- 1.
Remove rear wiper motor. REFER to Wipers and Washers .
- 2.
Remove the liftgate spoiler. REFER to Exterior Trim and Ornamentation .
- 4.
Using the 300-AST1770E, begin cutting the urethane adhesive at the top center and work toward the bottom corners.
NOTE:
Insert the blade into the 300-AST1770E so that the flat side is against the glass. This will leave the entire urethane adhesive bead on the pinch weld and allow a dry fit of the replacement rear glass.
NOTE:
Lubricate the existing urethane adhesive with water to aid the 300-AST1770E while cutting.
NOTE:
To avoid rust formation, use extreme care not to scratch the paint or primer, or otherwise damage the pinch weld during glass removal.
