Pinpoint Test J : B117C: Notes
Refer to Power Liftgate for schematic and connector information.
Normal Operations and Fault Conditions
When the power liftgate moves in the close direction, the LTM monitors the sector gear switches to determine the position of the sector gear inside the liftgate latch during cinching and releasing. The unlatch/cinch motor in the liftgate latch rotates the sector gear in either direction depending upon if it unlatching or cinching. Once the latch is unlatched or cinched, the LTM powers the unlatch/cinch motor so that the sector gear is in a centered state.
DTC Fault Trigger Conditions
| DTC | Description | Fault Trigger Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| B117C | Latch Centering Switch Invalid | An on-demand DTC that sets when the LTM detects the sector gear open/close switch(es) are not in the correct state at the beginning of self-test, or no sector gear switch transition during releasing/cinching. |
