PINPOINT TEST K : B2418, B2419 or B2420: Notes
Refer to Power Liftgate for schematic and connector information.
Normal Operations and Fault Conditions
The LTM monitors the position sensor (internal to the power liftgate motor) for liftgate movement and velocity. It is primarily used for obstacle detection during power open and close operations. The LTM supplies a 5-volt reference voltage and ground to the sensor and monitors the sensor through the 2 sensor signal feedback circuits. The position sensor is a Hall-effect type sensor.
DTC Fault Trigger Conditions
| DTC | Description | Fault Trigger Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| B2418 | Sensor Power Short to Ground | A continuous memory and on-demand DTC that sets when the LTM detects less than 5 volts on the position sensor 12-volt power circuit for more than 3 seconds. |
| B2419 | Sensor 1 Invalid | A continuous memory and on-demand DTC that sets when the LTM detects the position sensor feedback signals are not correct. |
| B2420 | Sensor 2 Invalid | A continuous memory and on-demand DTC that sets when the LTM detects the position sensor feedback signals are not correct. |
