Liftgate Alignment

General Procedure 

1. 1.
   
   Position aside the liftgate weatherstrip.

1. 2.
   
   Remove the liftgate scuff plate.

1. 3.
   
   Remove the liftgate striker bolts and striker.

1. 4.
   
   Loosen the 4 liftgate hinge bolts until the liftgate is able to move slightly.

1. 5.
   
   Align the liftgate to the body. REFER to Body Repairs , Component Description.

1. 6.
   
   Tighten the 4 liftgate hinge-to-liftgate bolts.
   • Tighten to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft).

1. 7.
   
   Install and align the liftgate striker and bolts.

1. 8.
   
   Install the liftgate scuff plate.

1. 9.
   
   Install the liftgate weatherstrip.

1. 10.
   
   If equipped, initialize the power liftgate. Refer to Power Liftgate Initialization .
