Pinpoint Test JB: Secondary Ignition (COP): Introduction

NOTE: A damaged ignition system may cause high catalyst temperatures. Check the components next to the catalyst and muffler for heat damage.
NOTE: There is additional information available on this procedure. Refer to the Service Tips tab and select the appropriate test listed under the Job Aids title.

For 2 wire coil harness connectors, select the PCM Ignition Coil Driver Test.

For 3 wire coil harness connectors, select the Driver On Coil Ignition Test.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
