Diagnosing Radio Frequency Interference Faults 

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

Refer to Tire Pressure Monitoring System , Radio Frequency Interference. One or more TPMS sensors not being trained or missing, TPM wiring and BCM wiring, or an internal failure of the TPM or BCM can all present symptoms that are similar to RFI.

Visual Inspection and Diagnostic Pre-checks 

• Inspect for customer electronic devices, such as a cell phone charger or GPS unit.
• Inspect for aftermarket wheels or run-flat tires (tires with steel body cord plies in the tire sidewall).
