PINPOINT TEST H : The Body Control Module Will Not Enter TPMS Sensor Training Mode
- H1 CHECK THE IGNITION SWITCH INPUT
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, view BCM PID.
- Monitor the BCM PID (IGN_SW_STATE) with the ignition in the RUN position.
Does the PID indicate the correct ignition switch position?
Yes GO to H2. No REFER to Steering Column Switches , Symptom Chart: Steering Column Switches. - H2 CHECK FOR VEHICLE SPEED-RELATED DTCs IN THE PCM
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform PCM self-test.
Is DTC P0500 present?
Yes REFER to Electronic Engine Controls No GO to H3. - H3 CHECK THE STOPLAMP OPERATION
- Ignition ON.
- Press and release the brake pedal while monitoring the stoplamps.
Do the stoplamps operate properly?
Yes GO to H4. No REFER to Exterior Lighting , Symptom Chart: Stoplamps. - H4 CHECK FOR CORRECT BCM OPERATION
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect and inspect all BCM connectors.
- Repair:
- Reconnect the BCM connectors. Make sure they seat and latch correctly.
- Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.
Is the concern still present?
Yes CHECK OASIS for any applicable TSBs. If a TSB exists for this concern, discontinue this test and follow TSB instructions. If no TSBs address this concern, INSTALL a new BCM. REFER to Multifunction Electronic Modules - With Intelligent Access (IA) or REFER to Multifunction Electronic Modules - Without Intelligent Access (IA) No The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector.
