Main Control Cover - 3.5L GTDI: Installation

  1. 1.

    Check for damage. Visual check.

    NOTE: Install the studbolts in the correct locations as noted during disassembly.

  1. 2.
    Loosely install the bolts.

  1. 3.

    Tighten the main control cover bolts in the sequence shown.
    • Tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).

  1. 4.

    • Tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).

  1. 7.

    If equipped.
    • Tighten to 70 Nm (52 lb-in).

    Fill the transaxle with clean transmission fluid. Refer to Transmission Fluid Drain and Refill .

  1. 10.

    Install the ACL and outlet pipe. REFER to Intake Air Distribution and Filtering .
