Normal Operation

This test is used to generate a RVC for a new PSCM when no additional diagnostics are required. A RVC is required to order a new PSCM and to document billing for payment.

1. Y1: VERIFY THE PSCM DTC 
   • Clear the PSCM DTCs.
   • Ignition OFF.
   • Wait at least 90 seconds for the modules to completely shut off.
   • Ignition ON, engine OFF.
   • Retrieve the continuous memory DTCs.
   • Does the DTC return? 

     Yes	No
     Go to  Y2.	The condition causing the DTC is not present at this time. If this is a Ford paid repair, INCLUDE the RVC on the warranty claim form. When complete, SELECT the "X" in the top right corner to CLOSE this procedure.

2. Y2: OBTAIN PSCM RVC 
   • Obtain the PSCM RVC: In order to claim the SLTS labor operation for completion of the PSCM testing, the code obtained through the link below must be included on the associated warranty claim.

     INSTALL a new PSCM.

     REFER to Electronic Power Assist Steering (EPAS) System .

     ORDER a replacement PSCM and INCLUDE the RVC on the form.

     If this is a Ford paid repair, INCLUDE the RVC on the warranty claim form. When complete, SELECT the "X" in the top right corner to CLOSE this procedure.
