Oil Filter Adapter: Removal

  1. 1.

    With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. REFER to Jacking and Lifting , Lifting Points.

    Remove and discard the engine oil filter.

  1. 3.

    If equipped, remove the oil cooler. Refer to Oil Cooler .
    NOTE: Oil filter adapter with oil cooler shown, oil filter adapter without oil cooler similar.

  1. 4.
    Remove the 3 oil filter adapter bolts and the oil filter adapter.
    • Discard the gasket.
