Removal And Installation: Driveshaft: Installation
- 1.
If removed, install the center bearing bracket and the 2 inner center bearing bolts.- Tighten to 20 Nm (177 lb-in).
- 2.
With the help of an assistant, install the driveshaft and the 2 outer center bearing bracket bolts.- Tighten to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft).
- 3.NOTE: Do not reuse the CV flange bolts. Install new bolts or damage to the vehicle may occur.
Install 4 newPower Transfer Unit (PTU) flange bolts.
- 4.NOTE: Do not reuse the bolt and washer assemblies for the rear CV joint flange. Install new assemblies or damage to the vehicle may occur.
Install 3 new RDU pinion flange bolt and washer assemblies.
- Tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
- 5.
Install the exhaust support brace and the 4 exhaust support brace bolts.- Tighten to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft).
- 6.
Install the muffler and tailpipe. REFER to Exhaust System .
- 7.
If a driveshaft is installed and driveshaft vibration is encountered after installation, index the driveshaft. REFER to REFER to Driveline System - General Information .
