Oil Filter Adapter: Removal

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. REFER to Jacking and Lifting

NOTE: Lubricate the new engine oil filter gasket with clean engine oil prior to installing the new oil filter.

Remove and discard the oil filter and gasket.
- Disconnect the EOP switch electrical connector.
- To install, tighten the new oil filter to 8 Nm (71 lb-in) plus an additional 180 degrees.

NOTE: Install a new oil filter adapter gasket.

4.
Remove the 4 bolts and the oil filter adapter.
- Discard the gasket.
- To install, tighten the oil filter adapter bolts to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
