Oil Pump: Removal

- 1.
With the engine in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. REFER to Jacking and Lifting .
- 3.
Remove the engine front cover. Refer to Engine Front Cover .
- 5.
Disconnect the 2 A/C compressor electrical connectors.- Detach the wiring harness retainer from the A/C tube stud bolt.
- 6.
Remove the A/C compressor nut, stud and the 2 bolts.- Position the A/C compressor aside and support with a length of mechanics wire.
- 7.
Remove the drain plug and drain the engine oil.- Install the drain plug and tighten to 27 Nm (20 lb-ft).
- 12.
Remove the oil pump drive chain tensioner.- 1.
Push the tensioner spring down and release the spring from under the shoulder bolt.
- 2.
Remove the 2 shoulder bolts and the tensioner.- Remove the chain from the oil pump sprocket.
