Removal And Installation

WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure in this service information, refer to SAFETY WARNINGS
NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. 1.

    Disconnect the battery ground cable, REFER to Battery, Mounting and Cables .

  1. 2.

    Remove the ACL assembly and the ACL outlet pipe, REFER to Intake Air Distribution and Filtering .

  1. 3.

  1. 5.

    1. 1.

      Tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).

    1. 2.

      Tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).

    Tighten to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).

  1. 7.

    NOTE: Inspect the starter drive gear and the flexplate ring gear, refer to Starter Motor Drive Gear and Flywheel Ring Gear Inspection .

    To install, reverse the removal procedure.
