  1. C1 CHECK FOR COMMUNICATION WITH THE TPM MODULE

    • Using a scan tool, perform network test.

Does the TPM module pass the network test?

    Yes  GO to  C2.
No  REFER to Module Communications Network .
  2. C2 CHECK THE TPM MODULE COMMUNICATION CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE

    • Ignition OFF.
    • Disconnect: TPM Module.
    • Disconnect: RFA Module C2153E.
    • Ignition ON.
    • Measure:

      Ground

Is the resistance less than 3 ohms between the TPM module and the RFA module; and greater than 10, 000 ohms between the TPM module and ground?

Yes  INSTALL a new TPM module. REFER to Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) . CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the TPM module self-test. If the concern is still present, GO to  C4.
    No  REPAIR the circuit.
  4. C4 CHECK FOR CORRECT RFA MODULE OPERATION

    • Disconnect and inspect all the RFA module connectors.
    • Repair:
      • corrosion (replace connector or terminals - clean module pins)
      • damaged or bent pins - replace terminals/pins
      • pushed-out pins - replace pins as necessary
    • Connect all the RFA module connectors. Make sure they seat and latch correctly.
    • Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.

    Is the concern still present?

Yes  CHECK OASIS for any applicable TSBs. If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW TSB instructions. If no TSBs address this concern, INSTALL a new RFA module. REFER to Multifunction Electronic Modules .
No  The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by module connections. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.
