PINPOINT TEST M : The Video Guidelines Are Inoperative
- M1 VERIFY THE GUIDELINES ARE ENABLED
- Verify that the guidelines are enabled using the FDIM.
Are the guidelines are enabled in the FDIM ?
Yes GO to M2. No ENABLE the guidelines. - M2 CHECK FOR DTCs FROM THE PAM SELF-TEST
- Ignition ON.
- Using a scan tool, perform the PAM self-test.
Are any PAM DTCs present?
Yes Refer to Parking Aid . No GO to M3. - M3 CHECK FOR DTCs FROM THE BCM SELF-TEST
- Ignition ON.
- Using a scan tool, perform the BCM self-test.
Are any BCM DTCs present?
Yes REFER to Multifunction Electronic Modules . No GO to M4. - M4 CHECK FOR CORRECT VIDEO CAMERA OPERATION
- Disconnect the video camera connector.
- Check for:
- corrosion (install new connector or terminals - clean module pins)
- damaged or bent pins - install new terminals/pins
- pushed-out pins - install new pins as necessary
- Reconnect the video camera connector. Make sure it seats and latches correctly.
- Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.
Is the concern still present?
Yes INSTALL a new video camera. Refer to Video Camera . No The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by the video camera connection. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.
