- Starting Concerns: Hard Start/Long Crank/Erratic Start/Erratic Crank
NOTE:
For Escape/Kuga, Focus, Fusion, MKC, MKZ, and Transit Connect, check the BdyCM CRASH PID status. The CRASH PID status YES indicates a crash event has occurred, and may be the cause of the Hard Start/Long Crank/Erratic Start symptom. If the CRASH PID indicates YES, carry out the BdyCM Electrical Service Function Crash Status Reset to reset the PID status. Verify the Hard Start/Long Crank/Erratic Start symptom still exists before continuing with the following diagnostics.
