Pinpoint Test F : U0100:00
- F1 CHECK THE COMMUNICATION NETWORK
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the network test.
Does the PCM pass the network test?
Yes GO to F2. No Refer to article 'Module Communications Network', Go to Pinpoint Test A . - F2 CHECK THE ABS MODULE CMDTCs
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the ABS module self-test.
- Clear the DTCs.
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the ABS module self-test.
- Record the ABS module DTCs.
Is DTC U0100:00 retrieved again?
Yes GO to F3. No The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition. - F3 REVIEW THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE ABS MODULE SELF-TEST
- Check the recorded DTCs from the ABS module self-test.
Is DTC U3003:16 or U3003:17 present?
Yes For DTC U3003:16, GO to Pinpoint Test A . For DTC U3003:17, GO to Pinpoint Test P . No GO to F4. - F4 CHECK FOR DTCs IN THE PCM
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the PCM KOEO self-test.
Is DTC P0562 or P0563 present?
Yes For DTC P0563, Refer to article 'Charging System', Go to Pinpoint Test A . For DTC P0562, Refer to article 'Charging System', Go to Pinpoint Test B . No GO to F5. - F5 CHECK FOR DTC U0100:00 SET IN OTHER MODULES
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the self-test for all modules.
- Retrieve the CMDTCs from all modules.
Is DTC U0100:00 set in the BCM or in the PSCM ?
Yes CHECK OASIS for any applicable TSBs. If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW the TSB instructions. If no TSBs address this concern, INSTALL a new PCM. REFER to Electronic Engine Controls - 2.0L GTDI or REFER to Electronic Engine Controls - 3.5L Ti-VCT, 3.7L Ti-VCT . No CHECK OASIS for any applicable TSBs. If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW the TSB instructions. If no TSBs address this concern and the vehicle is not equipped with adaptive cruise control, INSTALL a new ABS module. REFER to Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Module . If no TSBs address this concern and the vehicle is equipped with adaptive cruise control, INSTALL a new ABS module and HCU. REFER to Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) .
