PINPOINT TEST X : The Cruise Control Message Center Indicator Is Never or Always On
- X1 CHECK THE CRUISE CONTROL OPERATION
- Operate the cruise control.
Does the cruise control operate correctly?
Yes GO to X2. No For standard cruise control, REFER to Cruise Control Non-Adaptive . For adaptive cruise control, REFER to Cruise Control Adaptive . - X2 CHECK THE MESSAGE CENTER WARNING INDICATOR FUNCTION
- Close all doors, hood and liftgate.
- Ignition ON.
- Open the driver door while monitoring the door ajar message center warning indicator.
NOTE: If multiple warnings are present, the message center cycles through each of the warning indicators. Allow the message center to cycle through each display while determining whether the door ajar message center warning indicator is active.Does the driver door ajar message center warning indicator turn off with the driver door closed and illuminate with the driver door open?
Yes GO to X3. No Refer to IPC Hardware Testing . - X3 RETRIEVE AND RECORD THE DTCs FROM THE PCM KOEO SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the PCM KOEO self-test.
Are any PCM DTCs recorded?
Yes REFER to ENGINE CONTROLS - SYMPTOM CHARTS (EXCEPT DIESEL & HYBRID) . No GO to X4. - X4 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE IPC SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
Are any DTCs recorded?
Yes For IPC DTC U0100:00, GO to Pinpoint Test AR . For all other DTCs, REFER to DTC Chart: IPC . No INSTALL a new PCM. REFER to Electronic Engine Controls .
