Pinpoint Test AZ : U0212:00
- AZ1 VERIFY THE CUSTOMER CONCERN
- Ignition ON.
- Verify there is an observable symptom present.
Is an observable symptom present?
Yes GO to AZ2. No The system is operating normally at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition. - AZ2 CHECK THE COMMUNICATION NETWORK
- Ignition ON.
- Using a scan tool, perform a network test.
- Carry out the network test.
Does the SCCM pass the network test?
Yes GO to AZ3. No REFER to Module Communications Network . - AZ3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE IPC SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
Is DTC U3003:16 or DTC U3003:17 recorded?
Yes For DTC U3003:16, GO to Pinpoint Test BD . For DTC U3003:17, GO to Pinpoint Test BE . No GO to AZ4. - AZ4 RECHECK THE IPC DTCs
- Clear the DTCs.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Repeat the IPC self-test.
Is DTC U0212:00 still present?
Yes GO to AZ5. No The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition. - AZ5 CHECK FOR DTC U0212:87 SET IN OTHER MODULES
- Clear all DTCs.
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Using the scan tool, perform self-test.
- Retrieve the continuous memory DTCs from all modules.
Is DTC U0212:87 set in the BCM ?
Yes INSTALL a new SCCM. REFER to Steering Column Switches . No Refer to IPC Hardware Testing .
