PINPOINT TEST DE : The Auxiliary Switch Menu Display Is Inoperative - Police Package

DE1 CHECK THE MESSAGE CENTER OPERATION
- Close all doors and the liftgate.
- Ignition ON.
- Open the driver door while monitoring the message center displays.
Does the message center display DRIVER DOOR AJAR?

Yes GO to DE2.

No Refer to IPC Hardware Testing .

DE2 CHECK THE AUXILIARY SWITCH OPERATION
- Operate the auxiliary switch while monitoring the output device.
Does the output device operate correctly when switched on?

Yes GO to DE3.

No REFER to Police Package Equipment .

DE3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE IPC SELF-TEST

Using a scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.

Are any DTCs recorded?

Yes	For DTC U1018:00, GO to Pinpoint Test DJ . For all other DTCs, REFER to DTC Chart: IPC .
No	GO to DE4.

DE4 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE Generic Function Module (GFM) SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the Generic Function Module (GFM) self-test.
Are any DTCs recorded?

Yes REFER to Police Package Equipment .

No GO to DE5.

DE5 CHECK THE COMMUNICATION NETWORK

Using a scan tool, perform the network test.

Does the Generic Function Module (GFM) pass the network test?

Yes	INSTALL a new Generic Function Module (GFM). REFER to Police Package Equipment .
No	REFER to Module Communications Network .
