Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

When the DSM receives a key out command and gear lever position of park from the BCM over the MS-CAN, the DSM powers the memory driver seat rearward about 2 inches.

Visual Inspection and Diagnostic Pre-checks 

• Verify good battery condition before diagnosing the memory seat system. Poor battery condition may interfere with memory seat operation, even if vehicle starting is possible.
• Verify that the easy entry/easy exit feature is enabled on the message center. Refer to the Owner's Literature for information on enabling/disabling this feature on the message center.
