Pinpoint Test K : U0104:87
- K1 VERIFY THE CUSTOMER CONCERN
- Ignition ON.
- Verify there is an observable symptom present.
Is an observable symptom present?
Yes GO to K2. No The system is operating normally at this time. The DTC may have been set due to heavy network traffic or an intermittent fault condition. - K2 CHECK THE COMMUNICATION NETWORK
- Using a scan tool, perform a network test
Does the C-CM pass the network test?
Yes GO to K3. No Refer to article 'Module Communications Network', Go to Pinpoint Test U . - K3 RETRIEVE THE DTCs FROM THE C-CM SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the C-CM self-test.
Are any non-network DTCs recorded?
Yes REFER to REFER to Cruise Control Adaptive . No GO to K4. - K4 RECHECK THE IPM-A DTCs.
- Clear the DTCs from the IPM-A.
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON.
- Wait 15 seconds.
- Check the IPM-A DTCs.
Is DTC U0104:87 recorded?
Yes GO to K5. No The system is operating normally at this time. The DTC may have been set due to heavy network traffic or an intermittent fault condition. - K5 CHECK FOR DTC U0104:00 SET IN OTHER MODULES
- Clear all DTCs.
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON.
- Wait 15 seconds.
- Retrieve the CMDTCs from all modules.
Is DTC U0104:00 set in the ABS module or in the RCM ?
Yes INSTALL a new C-CM REFER to Cruise Control Adaptive . No INSTALL a new interior auto-dimming mirror. Refer to Interior Rear View Mirror .
