PINPOINT TEST AM : The Headlamps On Warning Chime Is Inoperative
- AM1 CHECK THE SAFETY BELT WARNING CHIME OPERATION
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON.
- Monitor the safety belt warning chime when the ignition is transitioned from OFF to RUN.
Does the safety belt warning chime operate for approximately 6 seconds?
Yes GO to AM2. No Refer to IPC Hardware Testing . - AM2 CHECK THE INTERIOR LAMPS OPERATION
- Open and close the driver door.
- Observe the interior lamps.
Do the interior lamps operate correctly from the driver door?
Yes For vehicles without IA, GO to AM3. For vehicles With Intelligent Access, GO to AM4. No REFER to Interior Lighting . - AM3 CHECK THE KEY-IN-IGNITION WARNING CHIME OPERATION
- Ignition OFF.
- Insert the key into the ignition lock cylinder.
- Open the LH front door and observe the key-in-ignition warning chime operation.
Does the key-in-ignition warning chime operate correctly?
Yes GO to AM4. No Refer to IPC Hardware Testing . - AM4 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE IPC SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
Are any DTCs recorded?
Yes For DTC U0140:00, GO to Pinpoint Test AV . For all other DTCs, REFER to DTC Chart: IPC . No GO to AM5. - AM5 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE BCM SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the BCM self-test.
Are any DTCs recorded?
Yes REFER to Multifunction Electronic Modules . No INSTALL a new BCM. REFER to Multifunction Electronic Modules .
