Pinpoint Test DL : The Lane Departure Warning System Display Is Inoperative
- DL1 CHECK THE MESSAGE CENTER OPERATION
- Close all doors and the luggage compartment lid.
- Ignition ON.
- Clear all message center popup warnings by pressing the OK button for each warning present.
- Monitor the door ajar message center warning indicator.
- Open the driver door.
- Clear the message center popup warning.
- Monitor the door ajar message center warning indicator.
Does the driver door ajar message center warning indicator turn off with the driver door closed and illuminate with the driver door open?
Yes GO to DL2. No Refer to IPC Hardware Testing . - DL2 VERIFY THE LANE WARNING DEPARTURE SYSTEM IS ENABLED
- Using an administrator key, enable and disable the lane departure warning system, while monitoring the LH message center display screen.
Does the lane departure warning system image turn on and off in the LH message center display screen?
Yes The system is operating correctly. The lane departure warning system was turned off. No GO to DL3. - DL3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE IPC SELF-TEST
- Ignition ON.
- Using a scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
Are any DTCs present?
Yes For DTC U023A:00, GO to Pinpoint Test DK . For all other DTCs, REFER to DTC Chart: IPC . No DIAGNOSE the lane departure warning system does not turn on or activate. REFER to Lane Departure Warning .
NOTE:
If multiple warnings are present, the message center cycles through each of the warning indicators. Allow the message center to cycle through each display while determining whether the door ajar message center warning indicator is active.
NOTE:
The lane departure warning system defaults off at each ignition on cycle when an administrator key is used. For MyKey ® keys, the lane departure warning system defaults on at each ignition on cycle.
