PINPOINT TEST A : Lane Departure Warning (LDW) Does Not Turn On Or Activate
- A1 CHECK THE PSCM FOR DTCs
- Using a scan tool, perform the PSCM self-test.
Are any PSCM DTCs received?
Yes REFER to Electronic Power Assist Steering (EPAS) System . No If the PSCM does not communicate with the scan tool, Refer to Pinpoint Test AC . If the PSCM passes the self-test, GO to A2. - A2 CHECK THE SCCM FOR DTCs
- Using a scan tool, perform the SCCM self-test.
Is DTC B13A6:09 received?
Yes INSTALL a new steering column multifunction switch. REFER to Steering Column Switches . No If the SCCM does not communicate with the scan tool, Refer to Pinpoint Test AC . If the SCCM passes the self-test, GO to A3. - A3 CHECK THE Image Processing Module - A (IPM-A) FOR DTCs
- Using a scan tool, perform the Image Processing Module - A (IPM-A) self-test.
Are any Image Processing Module - A (IPM-A) DTCs received?
Yes INSTALL a new steering column multifunction switch. REFER to Steering Column Switches . No If the Image Processing Module - A (IPM-A) does not communicate with the scan tool, Refer to Pinpoint Test AM . If the Image Processing Module - A (IPM-A) passes the self-test, GO to A4. - A4 CHECK FOR CORRECT Image Processing Module - A (IPM-A) OPERATION
- Disconnect and inspect the Image Processing Module - A (IPM-A) connector.
- Repair:
- corrosion (install new connector or terminals - clean module pins)
- damaged pins - install new terminals/pins
- pushed-out pins - install new pins as necessary
- Reconnect the Image Processing Module - A (IPM-A) connector. Make sure it seats and latches correctly.
- Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.
Is the concern still present?
Yes CHECK OASIS for any applicable TSBs. If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW TSB instructions. If no TSBs address this concern, INSTALL a new Image Processing Module - A (IPM-A). REFER to Rear View Mirrors . No The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by module connections. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.
