PINPOINT TEST H : There is an "Active Park Assist Fault" message in the Centerstack Infotainment Display

NOTE: Use the correct probe adapter(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adapter(s) may damage the connector.

  1. H1 CHECK THE DTCs FROM THE PAM SELF-TEST

    • Using a scan tool, perform the PAM self-test.

    Are any PAM DTCs recorded? 

    Yes  REFER to Parking Aid .
    No  GO to  H2.
  2. H2 CHECK THE DTCs FROM THE PSCM SELF-TEST

    • Using a scan tool, perform the PSCM self-test.

    Are any PSCM DTCs recorded? 

    Yes  REFER to Electronic Power Assist Steering (EPAS) System .
    No  GO to  H3.
  3. H3 CHECK THE DTCs FROM THE SCCM SELF-TEST

    • Using a scan tool, perform the SCCM DTCs self-test.

    Are any SCCM DTCs recorded? 

    Yes  REFER to Steering Column Switches .
    No  GO to  H4.
  4. H4 CHECK THE DTCs FROM THE ABS MODULE SELF-TEST

    • Using a scan tool, perform the ABS module self-test.

    Are any ABS module DTCs recorded? 

    Yes  REFER to Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) and Stability Control .
    No  GO to  H5.
  5. H5 CHECK THE DTCs FROM THE PCM SELF-TEST

    • Using a scan tool, perform the PCM self-test.

    Are any PCM DTCs recorded? 

    Yes  REFER to Electronic Engine Controls .
    No  GO to  H6.
  6. H6 CHECK THE DTCs FROM THE IPC SELF-TEST

    • Using a scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.

    Are any IPC DTCs recorded? 

    Yes  REFER to Instrumentation, Message Center, and Warning Chimes .
    No  GO to  H7.
  7. H7 CHECK FOR CORRECT PAM OPERATION

    • Disconnect and inspect the PAM connector.
    • Repair:
      • corrosion (install new connector or terminals - clean module pins)
      • damaged or bent pins - install new terminals/pins
      • pushed-out pins - install new pins as necessary
    • Reconnect the PAM connector. Make sure it seats and latches correctly.
    • Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.

    Is the concern still present? 

    Yes  CHECK OASIS for any applicable TSBs. If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW TSB instructions. If no TSBs address this concern, INSTALL a new PAM. REFER to Parking Aid .
    No  The system is operating correctly at this time. Concern may have been caused by module connections. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.
