ISSUE

Some 2011-2015 Explorer vehicles may exhibit a forward center console storage bin door that is difficult to open.

ACTION

Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

Open the storage bin by pressing downward lightly at the forward edge, front of vehicle, of the center console storage bin door while pressing the release button.
Replace the bumpers. (Figure 1)
1. Place the bumpers into the holes of the storage bin. Insert a paper clip or stiff wire with a dull end into the holes of the bumpers to push the bumpers into place.
