Pinpoint Test Ax : U0154:00
- AX1 VERIFY THE CUSTOMER CONCERN
- Ignition ON.
- Verify there is an observable symptom present.
Is an observable symptom present?
Yes GO to AX2. No The system is operating normally at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition. - AX2 CHECK THE COMMUNICATION NETWORK
- Ignition ON.
- Using a scan tool, perform a network test.
- Carry out the network test.
Does the OCSM pass the network test?
Yes GO to AX3. No REFER to Module Communications Network . - AX3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE OCSM SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the OCSM self-test.
Is DTC U3003:16 or DTC U3003:17 recorded?
Yes REFER to Supplemental Restraint System . No GO to AX4. - AX4 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE IPC SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
Is DTC U3003:16 or DTC U3003:17 recorded?
Yes For DTC U3003:16, GO to Pinpoint Test BD . For DTC U3003:17, GO to Pinpoint Test BE . No GO to AX5. - AX5 RECHECK THE IPC DTCs
- Clear the DTCs.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Repeat the IPC self-test.
Is DTC U0154:00 still present?
Yes GO to AX6. No The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition. - AX6 CHECK FOR DTC U0154:00 SET IN OTHER MODULES
- Clear all DTCs.
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Using a scan tool, perform self-test.
- Retrieve the continuous memory DTCs from all modules.
Is DTC U0154:00 set in the RCM ?
Yes INSTALL a new OCSM. REFER to Supplemental Restraint System . No Refer to IPC Hardware Testing .
