Pinpoint Test DN : The Lights On Message Center Indicator Is Never/Always On

DN1 CHECK THE PARKING LAMPS OPERATION
- Place the headlamp switch in the PARKING LAMPS position.
- Ignition ON.
- Observe the parking lamps.
Do the parking lamps operate correctly?

Yes GO to DN2 .

No Refer to EXTERIOR LIGHTING

DN2 CHECK THE MESSAGE CENTER WARNING INDICATOR FUNCTION
- Close all doors, hood and liftgate
- Ignition ON.
  NOTE: If multiple warnings are present, the message center cycles through each of the warning indicators. Allow the message center to cycle through each display while determining whether the door ajar message center warning indicator is active.
  
  Open the driver door while monitoring the door ajar message center warning indicator.
Does the driver door ajar message center warning indicator turn off with the driver door closed and illuminate with the driver door open?

Yes Go To DN3

No Refer to IPC Hardware Testing .

DN3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE IPC SELF-TEST

Check for recorded IPC DTCs from the self-test.

Is DTC U0140:00 recorded?

Yes	GO to Pinpoint Test AV .
No	INSTALL a new BCM. REFER to MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC MODULES . TEST the system for normal operation.
