Pinpoint Test I : B12D8:11, B12D8:13
- I1 CHECK THE CAMERA WINDSHIELD DEFROST HEATER RESISTANCE
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect: Inline C919.
- Ignition ON.
- Measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead (Component Side) C919-1 (Component Side) C919-3
Is the resistance between 9 and 11 ohms?
Yes GO to I2. No INSTALL a new camera windshield defrost heater. Refer to Camera Windshield Defrost Heater . - I2 CHECK THE CAMERA WINDSHIELD DEFROST HEATER CIRCUITS FOR AN OPEN
- Disconnect: Interior Mirror.
Are the resistances less than 3 ohms?
Yes INSPECT the wiring harness between the interior mirror and the camera windshield defroster heater connectors for damage and shorts. If OK, GO to I3. If not OK, REPAIR or INSTALL a new wiring harness. No REPAIR the circuit. - I3 CHECK FOR CORRECT IPM-A OPERATION
- Disconnect and inspect the interior auto-dimming mirror and camera windshield defroster heater connectors.
- Repair:
- corrosion (replace connector or terminals - clean module pins)
- damaged or bent pins - replace terminals/pins
- pushed-out pins - replace pins as necessary
- Reconnect the interior auto-dimming mirror and camera windshield defrost heater connectors. Make sure the connectors seat and latch correctly.
- Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.
Is the concern still present?
Yes CHECK OASIS for any applicable TSBs. If a TSB exists for this concern, discontinue this test and follow TSB instructions. If no TSBs address this concern, INSTALL a new Image Processing Module - A (IPM-A). Refer to Interior Rear View Mirror . No The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by module connections. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.
