PINPOINT TEST I : The Heated Seat Does Not Operate Correctly - LH Seat Does Heat But The Heated Seat Indicator Does Not Illuminate When Pressed

I1 CHECK THE HEATED SEAT INDICATOR CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TO GROUND

Measure:

Positive Lead	Measurement / Action	Negative Lead

Are the resistances greater than 10, 000 ohms?

Yes	GO to I2.
No	REPAIR the circuit in question.

I2 CHECK THE HEATED SEAT INDICATOR CIRCUITS FOR AN OPEN

Measure:

Positive Lead	Measurement / Action	Negative Lead

Are the resistances less than 3 ohms?

Yes	GO to I3.
No	REPAIR the circuit in question.

I3 CHECK THE HEATED SEAT HIGH INDICATOR

While observing the heated seat switch, momentarily connect a fused jumper wire between:

Does the high indicator illuminate?

Yes	GO to I4.
No	INSTALL a new auxiliary climate control assembly. REFER to Auxiliary Climate Control .

I4 CHECK THE HEATED SEAT LOW INDICATOR

While observing the heated seat switch, momentarily connect a fused jumper wire between:

Does the low indicator illuminate?

Yes	INSTALL a new heated seat module. REFER to Heated Seat Module .
No	INSTALL a new auxiliary climate control assembly. REFER to Auxiliary Climate Control .
