Seat Cushion - 40 Percent: Disassembly

1. 1.
   
   Remove the seat. Refer to Seat .

   Remove the backrest. Refer to Seat Backrest - 40 Percent .

   Remove the cushion cover. Refer to Seat Cushion Cover - 40 Percent .

1. 4.
   
   Remove the cushion foam pad.

1. 5.
   
   If equipped with deployable safety belts, remove the safety belt buckle. REFER to Safety Belt System .

1. 6.
   
   If equipped with deployable safety belts, remove the safety belt inflator. REFER to Safety Belt System .

1. 7.
   
   Detach the electrical connector from the front outboard riser foot.

1. 8.
   
   Remove the 2 outboard inner cover screws and remove the cover.

1. 9.
   
   Remove the 3 screws and the outboard outer cover.

1. 10.
   
   Remove the 2 inboard inner cover screws and remove the cover.

1. 11.
   
   Remove the 3 screws and the inboard outer cover.

1. 12.
   
   Release the clip and remove the strut.

1. 13.
   
   Remove the manual recline handle.

   1. 1.
      
      Locate the spring clip between the recline cover and handle.

   1. 2.
      
      Remove the spring clip and slide the manual recline handle off the shaft.

1. 14.
   
   Pull to release the retainers and remove the outboard recliner outer cover.

   1. 1.
      
      Pull the strap through the cover.

   Remove the 3 outboard recliner inner cover screws.

   Separate the outboard recliner.

   1. 1.
      
      Separate the cable retainers.

   1. 2.
      
      Separate the cable ends from the recliner.

   1. 3.
      
      Remove the 2 recliner bolts.
      • To install, tighten to 50 Nm (37 lb-ft).

   Remove the rivet, separate the cable end and remove the outboard recliner.

1. 18.
   
   Pull to release the retainers and remove the inboard recliner outer cover.

1. 19.
   
   Separate the inboard recliner.

   1. 1.
      
      Remove the 3 screws and inboard recliner inner cover.

   1. 2.
      
      If equipped, remove the bolt and the safety belt buckle.
      • To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).

   1. 3.
      
      Remove the 2 recliner bolts.
      • To install, tighten to 50 Nm (37 lb-ft).

   1. 4.
      
      From behind the cable retainer, squeeze the ends together and separate.

   1. 5.
      
      Separate the cable retainer.

   1. 6.
      
      Separate the cable end from the recliner.

1. 20.
   
   Remove the rivet, separate the cable end and remove the inboard recliner.

1. 21.
   
   Remove the 2 screws, disconnect the electrical connector, route the cable out and remove the power fold seat motor.

1. 22.
   
   Remove the 6 nuts route out the cables and separate the seat track/riser from the cushion frame.

   1. 1.
      
      To install, tighten to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft).

NOTE: Note the wire harness routing for correct installation.

   Remove the wire harness.
