PINPOINT TEST I : The Third Row Power Seat Head Restraint Does Not Release and Fold Down Correctly When the Seat is Moved
- I1 CHECK THE THIRD ROW POWER SEAT BACKREST COVER AND BACKREST FOAM PAD FOR CORRECT INSTALLATION
- Check the third row power seat backrest cover and backrest foam pad for correct installation.
- Inspect for conditions which could cause binding between the head restraint and backrest cover.
Is the third row power seat backrest cover and backrest foam pad installed correctly?
Yes GO to I2. No CORRECTLY INSTALL the backrest cover and foam pad. Refer to Seat Backrest Cover - Power . - Check the third row power seat backrest cover and backrest foam pad for correct installation.
- I2 ADJUST THE HEAD RESTRAINT CABLE
- Adjust the head restraint cable. Refer to Head Restraint Cable Adjustment .
- Operate the power seat fold option and verify the head restraint releases and folds forward as the backrest folds forward.
Did the head restraint release and fold forward correctly after adjustment of the head restraint cable?
Yes The system is operating correctly at this time. The head restraint cable was out of adjustment. No INSTALL a new head restraint assembly. Refer to Seat Backrest - Power .
