Steering Column Switches: Notes
Overview
The steering column switches are located on or around the steering column. This gives the driver the ability to control various vehicle functions and remain focused on the task of driving. Depending on vehicle options, the steering column switches consist of the following:
- Multifunction switch - mounted on the left side of the SCCM and can be serviced separately. On vehicles with the police package, the multifunction switch also controls the front and rear wipers and washers. REFER to, Multifunction Switch, below.
- Steering wheel switches - mounted on the front of the steering wheel and can be serviced separately from the steering wheel. REFER to Steering Wheel Switches, below.
- Wiper washer switch - mounted on the right side of the SCCM and can be serviced separately. The wiper washer switch is only available on vehicles without the police package. On vehicles with the police package, the front and rear wipers and washer controls are integrated into the multifunction switch. REFER to, Wiper and Washer Switch or, Multifunction Switch, below.
- Pedal adjust switch - mounted on the left side of the SCCM just below the multifunction switch and can be serviced separately. REFER to, Pedal Adjust Switch, below.
- Steering column control switch - mounted on the left side of the SCCM just below the multifunction switch and can be serviced separately. Refer to Steering Column Control Switch .
