Component Description

Multifunction Switch 

The multifunction switch is a multiple position switch controlled by a lever. The multifunction switch controls the turn signal, headlamp low/high beam and headlamp dimmer/flash-to-pass functions. On vehicles with the police package, the multifunction switch also controls the front and rear wipers and washers.

For the turn signals, REFER to Exterior Lighting , Turn Signals.

For the headlamp low beams, REFER to Exterior Lighting , Low Beams.

For the headlamp high beams, REFER to Exterior Lighting , High Beams.

For the headlamp dimmer/flash-to-pass functions, REFER to Exterior Lighting , Flash-To-Pass.

For the front wiper and washer functions, REFER to Wipers and Washers .

For the rear wiper and washer functions, REFER to Wipers and Washers .

Steering Wheel Switches 

The steering wheel switches are comprised of 2 switch clusters mounted on each side of the steering wheel facing the driver. Each switch cluster contains 3 rocker switches and a 5-way directional switch pad.

The 5-way directional switch pad on the left switch cluster controls the message center display. REFER to Instrumentation, Message Center, and Warning Chimes , Steering Wheel Switch - Message Center.

The 3 rocker switches on the left switch cluster control the adaptive or non-adaptive cruise control. For non-adaptive cruise control, REFER to Cruise Control Adaptive , Steering Wheel Switch Function. For adaptive cruise control, REFER to Cruise Control Non-Adaptive , Steering Wheel Switch Function.

Non-police vehicles:  The 5-way directional switch pad on the right switch cluster controls the infotainment display. REFER to Information and Entertainment Systems Premium , Steering Wheel Switches (premium), REFER to Information and Entertainment Systems Premium Plus , Steering Wheel Switches (premium plus) or REFER to Information and Entertainment Systems Sony Sound , Steering Wheel Switches (Sony ® Sound).

Police vehicles:  The 5-way directional switch pad on the right switch cluster controls the infotainment display. REFER to Information and Entertainment Systems Premium , Steering Wheel Switches.

Non-police vehicles:  The 3 rocker switches on the right switch cluster control the audio system (premium audio) or the SYNC ® hands-free system (all other audio). REFER to Information and Entertainment Systems Premium , Steering Wheel Switches (premium), REFER to Information and Entertainment Systems Premium Plus , Steering Wheel Switches (premium plus) or REFER to Information and Entertainment Systems Sony Sound , Steering Wheel Switches (Sony ® Sound).

Police vehicles:  The 3 rocker switches on the right switch cluster control the audio system. REFER to Information and Entertainment Systems Premium , Steering Wheel Switches.

Steering Column Control Module (SCCM) 

The SCCM is attached to the steering column, behind the steering wheel. The SCCM receives inputs from the following items and then controls the output directly or transmits the information as messages on either the HS-CAN or the LIN.

The SCCM also provides a "pass-through" circuit path for various components and/or features:

The SCCM monitors all of the inputs it receives and is capable of setting DTCs.

The SCCM is a module that requires PMI when replaced. REFER to Module Configuration .

Wiper and Washer Switch 

The wiper and washer switch is a multiple position switch controlled by a lever. The wiper and washer switch controls the front windshield wipers, front windshield washers, rear window wiper and rear washer.

Pedal Adjust Switch 

The pedal adjust switch is a momentary contact, rocker style switch used to adjust the position of the brake and accelerator pedals. REFER to Adjustable Pedals , Pedal Adjust Switch.

Steering Column Control Switch 

The steering column control switch is a momentary contact switch used to adjust the position of the power adjustable steering column.
