PINPOINT TEST H : The Ignition Key Can Be Turned to the OFF Position When the Selector Lever is Not in PARK

H1 CHECK THE KEY INHIBIT SOLENOID GROUND CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN

Measure:

Positive Lead	Measurement / Action	Negative Lead

Is the resistance less than 3 ohms?

Yes	INSTALL a new ignition switch. REFER to Ignition Switch .
No	GO to H2.

H2 CHECK THE KEY INHIBIT SOLENOID CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN

Measure:

Positive Lead	Measurement / Action	Negative Lead

Is the resistance less than 3 ohms?

Yes	GO to H3.
No	REPAIR the circuit.

H3 CHECK THE BRAKE SHIFT INTERLOCK GROUND CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN

Measure:

Positive Lead	Measurement / Action	Negative Lead

Is the resistance less than 3 ohms?

Yes	INSTALL a new selector lever. REFER to Automatic Transaxle Transmission External Controls Transmission Control Switch (TCS) or REFER to Automatic Transaxle Transmission External Controls Select Shift .
No	REPAIR the circuit.
